A rare and pristine copy of the first issue of Action Comics, famed for the first appearance of Superman, has set a record Wednesday for the most money paid for a single comic book: $2.16 million.
The issue, graded at 9.0, was auctioned starting Nov. 11 online at www.comicconnect.com. The starting bid was just $1 but there was a reserve price of $900,000. Neither the name of the buyer nor seller was disclosed.

Actor Jack O’Halloran, is best remembered for his starring role in “Superman: The Movie” and “Superman: II” as the mute villian Non, will signing copies of his novel, “Family Legacy” this Friday, December 2nd at the Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore in San Diego, CA.
“Family Legacy” takes place during the explosive years of American Organized crime from the point of view of a true insider. Thinly veiled as “fiction”, the book sheds new light on the Kennedy assassination, our government’s partnership with the Mob, and so much more.

In a recent interview with ComingSoon.com, actress Leslie Bibb talked about her role as Wonder Woman in a comedy sketch segment of next year’s feature film, “Movie 43.”
The segment was shot and directed by the Farrelly Brothers and will spoof DC Comics’ superheroes who are attending a speed-dating event. Alongside Bibb’s Wonder Woman will be Superman (Bobby Cannavale), Batman (Jason Sudeikis), Supergirl (Kristen Bell), and the Penguin (John Hodgman).
