Inception, The Greatest Trick Nolan Ever Pulled
My wife and I finally got the chance to watch Inception recently. I know, I know, we’re behind. We chatted about the movie a bit afterward, and the next day she had a pretty awesome take on what the film was about. I asked her to write up her analysis so that I could post [...]

December 28, 2010: Metropolis, IL Labor Strike Continues
Months of labor turmoil in Metropolis, Illinois are now threatening to undermine the town’s cheery Superman atmosphere.
At the sprawling Honeywell Specialty Materials plant on Metropolis’ outskirts, some 230 union workers take turns picketing at the nation’s only site for refining uranium for eventual use in nuclear power plants. The picketers have been there since the company locked out the workers last June and brought in replacements.
The strikers are warning of possible toxic releases into the community while they’re not at their jobs. They have planted dozens of small, white crosses near the highway to represent workers who have died of cancer, which they say could be linked to radiation exposure at the plant. And nearby stands a giant inflatable rat made to represent the company supplying the replacement “scabs.”

December 28, 2010: Booster Gold and Blue Beetle on "Smallville"
Writer Geoff Johns has revealed to ComicBookResources.com details on the appearance of Booster Gold and Blue Beetle in an up-coming episode of “Smallville” which will actually be titled “Booster”.
- The last couple of seasons, you’ve brought The Legion of Super-Heroes and the Justice Society to “Smallville” in episodes you’ve written. Now it’s Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. You’re just picking off your favorite guys, aren’t you?
Yes. I love the Blue Beetle. We introduced [this version of the character] back during “Infinite Crisis.” I always like the chemistry between him and Booster, so when I was going to do this episode, I wanted to do those two together and I think the story that we came up works really well. It’s very Booster 1.0, meaning he’s in the early stages of his career as a hero – and is pretty self-serving.
Can you shed any light on what we’ll see storywise in the Blue Beetle/Booster Gold episode of “Smallville?”
You’ll see Beetle’s origin, Booster first meeting Clark and Lois and maybe a cameo by someone from Kord Industries.
