November 29, 2010: Superman Snuggie – Do You Have Yours Yet?

After reading the many ads and promotions for the Superman Snuggie, I finally broke down and purchased one from a local retailer in Myrtle Beach, SC.
First off, I realize that some would argue that a Superman Snuggie is a contradiction in terms. After all, the Man of Steel would never have Cheeto stains on his uniform or pockets for a remote control. However, this product is more of an image of Superman printed on a throw as opposed to an actual costume.
Moving on, please be aware that it is not actually a “Snuggie” but what DC Comics likes to refer to as a “Comfy Throw”. In DC’s own words it’s “a body-length blanket with sleeves made of fleece material; similar in design to a bathrobe that is worn backwards”. Yes, that is the definition of a “Snuggie” but it’s also the definition of the less popular “Slanket”…
The “Comfy Throw” measures in at the “one size fits all” dimensions of 48″ x 71″ which fits my 6′ 5″ frame perfectly.
