September 29, 2010: Allison Mack Talks Chloe in "Smallville" Season 10
IGN.com spoke with Allison Mack to find out how she feels about “Smallville” coming to an end in its 10th and final season.
- Chloe is the only Smallville character to have appeared in every single season of the series except for Clark Kent himself. When I asked Mack if she was happy she was getting to be a part of the 10th and final season, she replied, “Definitely. It’s interesting. I feel like I owe it to the fans. And I owe it to my character. I feel very honored to have played her for the ten years that I’ve played her, so I want to give her a proper ending.”

September 28, 2010: Christopher Reeve Honored at Cornell University
In November of 2006, Cornell University honored actor and 1974 alum Christopher Reeve (1952-2004) with a plaque in the school’s Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. At the time, Cornell and the 1974 Graduation Class celebrated the honor with a day of events that included the announcement of the Christopher Reeve ‘74 Scholarship designated for undergraduates in theater, film, music and English, and screenings of the late actor’s films, Superman, The Bostonians and Remains of the Day.
“Christopher Reeve way a dynamic individual who made remarkable contributions to the arts and to the public appreciation for scientific research,” said Tommy Bruce, Cornell’s vice president for communications and media relations.
On the wall on display to all who visits the beautiful building is a plaque with Reeve’s likeness and the words: Christopher Reeve ‘74, Actor – Superman – Hero, Remembered by his classmates and friends.

September 28, 2010: Summer Glau Talks Supergirl Role in "Superman/Batman: Apocalypse"
Summer Glau knows her audience.
Whether as River Tam in Joss Whedon’s cult classic series and follow-up film, Firefly and Serenity, or as the indestructible android-from-the-future Cameron in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Glau has cornered the market on playing attractive, demure young females with the controlled homicidal power to destroy an opposing legion of trained warriors.
So it was only natural that as her first-ever animated voiceover role, Glau would fit neatly into the role of an uber-powered Kryptonian who falls under the spell of one of Superman’s greatest foes. Glau finds the perfect mix of youthful curiosity, teen angst and alien-turned-Earth-girl aggression as the voice of Kara, cousin of Superman (and ultimately destined to become Supergirl) in Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, the ninth entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies arriving today, September 28 from Warner Home Video.
Following her recording session, Glau freely discussed a number of subjects – from the acting strengths of the Whedon alumni association to her consistent on-set nerves to a strong desire to land more adult roles. Click the link above to see how that conversation went.

September 28, 2010: Noel Neill Statue Boosting Tourism in Metropolis, IL
The sculpted image of actress Noel Neill in her
fictional role of Superman romantic interest Lois Lane is having a very
real effect on tourism.
“During the height of the summer tourism season, before kids were back
in school, we were getting anywhere from 25 to 40 people a day in here
asking where the Lois Lane statue is,” said merchant Jim Hambrick.
Hambrick, who owns the Super Museum just across the street from
Superman Square and the city’s 15-foot-tall Superman statue, said
publicity over the dedication of the Lois Lane statue in June generated
a new flow of visitation. Some people were enticed to visit Metropolis
for the first time, while others were repeat visitors who made new
pilgrimages to add the bronze Lois Lane/Noel Neill likeness at Eighth
and Market streets to their been there/seen that list.
