August 29, 2010: Heroic Ambition – DVD Review
Heroic Ambition is the new superhero entertainment documentary featuring Scott Cranford, founder of HeroicWorld.com and former official “Superman” of Metropolis, Illinois.
Scott was chosen as the city’s Superman in a nationwide contest in 2000 and for eight years, flew from Los Angeles to Metropolis to portray the Man of Steel for the annual Superman Celebration.
If you think you know all there is to know about the Superman Celebration, I can assure you that this documentary will open your eyes to so much more.
Although most of the documentary footage is from 2007, a few glimpses of Celebrations past are featured including Scott (in full Superman costume) and his fiance Marcella’s wedding in 2001 at Washington Park where the very first Superman Celebration was held.

August 27, 2010: From Crisis to Crisis: A Superman Podcast
Welcome to the 64th episode of From Crisis to Crisis: A Superman Podcast! This podcast has a simple premise; examine just about every Superman comic published between Man of Steel #1 in 1986 to Adventures of Superman #649 in 2006 in an informative and hopefully entertaining format.
Part index. Part commentary. Part history lesson. All podcast.
This time out Mike and Jeff finally get around to covering the WORLD’S FINEST mini-series from 1990 and the final result is…well, the final result is a bit more casual than the usual episode of this show. Sure they talk about the story and the art and the whole Batman and Superman trading cities thing. They also discuss why they really didn’t like the series all that much. In between all of that, though, they go on a number of digressions that go all over the map and generally have more fun than should be allowed.
Next Week: The Sinbad Contract. Jeff and Mike have a lot of good things to say about this one.
You can subscribe to the show in two ways. First there is the RSS Feed and there is also the iTunes link. You can also download the episode directly.
If you want to comment on the show or contact the hosts you can always private message Mike and Jeff, leave comments here or email them at fromcrisistocrisis@gmail.com. All questions, concerns, fears, trepidations and cheap shots are welcome.

Eddie Berganza says hello, goodbye to SUPERMAN/BATMAN with #75
Wow, can’t believe I’m saying goodbye to two of my babies at the same time.
My daughter Kim is going off to college and I’m leaving the editorial reigns of SUPERMAN/BATMAN.
Neither is easy.
But both got great going away parties.
For S/B#75 it was awesome putting together the list of attendees.
Paul Levitz and Jerry Ordway were the opening [...]
