April 29, 2010: Another Justice League Character Heading to the Big Screen?

Pajiba has posted an article claiming that Warner Bros. have plans to bring Justice League member “Starman” to the big screen:
In any event, according to an inside source, Warner Brother, in partnership with Lin Productions and DC Comics, is bringing Starman to the big screen. Which version is sort of unknown – he’ll wield a gravity rod, have energy powers, and likely be able to fly. One of the more recent Starman characters could also manipulate mass, but not word on whether that power will be present. It’s being produced by Dan Lin (Sherlock Holmes – yay!, Terminator Salvation – hmm…) and Gregory Noveck (Jonah Hex – jury’s still out). No writer or director is attached yet, as the film is in very early development.

April 28, 2010: IMAX and Warner Bros. Sign 20 Picture Deal

IMAX Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures, a unit of Time Warner Inc., announced today that they have completed an agreement to release up to 20 Warner Bros. films in IMAX’s format over the course of the next three and a half years (from 2010 through 2013). The agreement strategically aligns Warner Bros.’ tent-pole business with the increasing worldwide popularity of The IMAX Experience in both 2D and IMAX 3D, providing the studio with an added distribution platform that consistently delivers strong box office returns. The agreement underscores the excitement around the studio’s future films which are anticipated to be among the best Hollywood event titles slated for release in the coming years.
Under the agreement, Warner Bros. movies that will be released in IMAX are: Legends of the Guardian: The Owls of Ga’Hoole 3D (September 24, 2010); Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (3D) (November 19, 2010); Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II (3D) (July 15, 2011); Happy Feet 2 (3D) (November 18, 2011); and The Hobbit (December 2013). Warner Bros. and IMAX also plan to release an additional 15 films over the course of 2011, 2012 and 2013, including Gravity, Dark Shadows, Fury Road, Batman 3, and Superman.

April 28, 2010: Lois & Clark's Love Life on "Smallville"

With many fans of “Smallville” seeming to be more concerned with relationships than mythology, the following question about Lois & Clark’s sex life is the only question answered in this week’s “Mega Buzz” feature at TVGuide.com.

Seems like Clois sex is on the table on Smallville. Is it going to happen this season?

ADAM: As you point out, both Lois and Clark definitely seem up for it. As for whether they’ll actually seal the deal this year, there’s just one little problem, according to executive producer Brian Peterson: “They keep trying, but sadly and ironically, the Blur has come between Lois and Clark [to prevent them from] ever consummating their relationship.” I’ll leave you to argue (cry?) about Peterson’s use of the word “ever.”
